In the Lyell–Otis community, where access to fresh food is limited, over 100 vacant lots sit waiting for new life. Imagine transforming them into thriving orchards — turning empty land into abundant oases of fruit trees that nourish families, promote wellness, and bring beauty back to the neighborhood. Together, we can cultivate health, hope, and possibility.
Community Betterment Projects
Our vision is to transform the Lyell–Otis community into a place of healing, growth, and opportunity. Together, we can build:
Women’s Resource Center – Offering support for survivors of addiction, sex trafficking, and prostitution.
Community Grocery Store – A much-needed replacement for Save A Lot, bringing fresh and affordable food access back to the neighborhood.
Healthcare & Specialized Treatment Facility – Accessible care close to home for those who need it most.
Neighborhood YMCA / YWCA – A safe and enriching space for children, teens, and seniors.
Lyell Avenue Community Memorial Garden – Honoring the past while cultivating peace, beauty, and wellness for the future.
